Jump rope done differently
This rope can do more!
We have already shown you our new Battle Jump Rope which is available in diameters of 30mm, 35mm and 40mm.
‘A thick skipping rope? Do you really need something like that?’ might be something some of you are asking themselves right now. Well, yes. For one, you can train your forearms, a part of the body which is often ‘under-trained’, and you can increase your grip strength, another aspect that will benefit your overall training hugely. Secondly, skipping rope with the big Blackthorn Battle Rope demands more body tension. Centrifugal forces try to move your body’s center of gravity and you have to counteract them with increased stability.
But there is more!
But the Battle Jump Rope is not just a thicker skipping rope – it is actually made from our infamous, flexible Battle Ropes! Just look at those exercises as an inspiration:
You can hang the rope from a pull-up bar or a beam and train pushing and pulling movements. You can also change your grip (pronated, supinated, neutral grip). You will quickly see that your big muscle groups suddenly are no longer the limiting factor when training this way with the Blackthorn Battle Jump Ropes. You need a very tight and strong grip, keep up body tension constantly, and you have to have a decent amount of coordinative competence. And it is really fun to challenge yourself in a new way.
Hey buddy!
Do you have a training partner that you regularly train with? Or are you a personal trainer that wants to push their clients to the limit?
If you answer at least one of these questions with yes, then take a look at the video below to get some inspiration for a great Battle Jump Rope partner workout:
The training partner determines the resistance. Obviously, you should be able to pull the rope in a somewhat fluent motion. So don’t bug each other too much! What goes around, comes around…
