revvll PRO is certainly the luxury variant among endless rope trainers. The PU rope feels good in the hand and the run-on mechanism of the eddy current brake allows a very fluid gripping and thus an absolutely smooth rope pulling without jerking and stopping. The only drawback: the machine generates noise. The eddy current brake “hums” – the harder you pull, the louder it hums. In the Studio, this is certainly not a problem, but in the Home Gym early in the morning, when everyone else is asleep, it can be annoying. Certainly a special case, but you should probably know. You should also know that the PRO version can only be operated from one side. With revvll ONE and especially with the Battle Boa, however, that doesn’t matter at all. Otherwise, a very high-quality device that is top constructed and will certainly provide very good services for many years if used correctly. I can especially recommend the combination with the “Wall Rail” (I still have the older version of it, which is a bit longer, but only works for revvll). The two revvll models can also be fixed anywhere with the enclosed anchor sling quite well, but attached to the “Wall Rail”, there is no more swinging and side to side movement (in combination with the anchor sling and very hectic-fast pulls it can happen that you only grab empty air instead of the rope). Furthermore, the “Wall Rail” allows the attachment at different heights. Especially near the ground, this is very useful, because with the use of only the anchor sling can lead to the machine hitting the ground, which can not happen with the “Wall Rail”. An advantage over revvll ONE, besides the eddy current brake, is that revvll PRO machine does not charge statically. Advantage over Battle Boa: the PU rope is easy to clean (which is certainly reassuring in the studio, where many different hands operate the rope). What running is for the legs, revvll or Boa can be for the upper body: Intense strength endurance training. The effect sets in hard after a few minutes. At first you think that it is just a Gimic. And then the muscles start to burn… a short time later almost every muscle in the upper body hurts. revvll PRO is already pretty expensive – there’s no getting around it. But it’s also an extremely innovative piece of exercise equipment that features high-quality materials and has modern and ingenious eddy current braking technology that is also maintenance-free. If you save up for it for a while (that was my plan when revvll PRO came out a few years ago), it doesn’t hurt quite as much. Every now and then, you’ll find offers in the classifieds – but that’s rarely the case, which, by the way, speaks for the quality of the device: whoever has it obviously doesn’t want to sell it again anytime soon. If you’re interested in endurance training in the upper body and want to train your grip and traction strength at the same time, I can absolutely recommend this useful piece.
