Frequently asked Questions
The Powrlink Light app and the Powrlink (Legacy) app serve similar purposes but differ in their approach to structuring and managing workout data, as well as their features for data export and sensor connectivity. Here are the key differences:
- Terminology: In the Powrlink Light app, your training sessions are called "Workouts," while in the Powrlink (Legacy) app, they are referred to as "Sessions." Both Workouts and Sessions can include multiple exercises, and each exercise can have multiple sets.
- Exercise Naming and Structure: The Powrlink app allows you to name exercises once and reuse them across sessions or within the same session for more granular data organization, though this can make it less intuitive. In contrast, the Powrlink Light app simplifies this process: you start a Workout with Exercise 1 (E1) and Set 1 (S1), then use buttons like "Next Exercise" (to E2 S1) or "Next Set" (to E1 S2) to progress. These markers are saved with your training data for later analysis in the app or via CSV export.
- Data Export: The Powrlink app does not support direct CSV export through the app; instead, you can sync your Sessions to a web portal (https://aerobis.com/pages/powrlink-export) using the same login as the app, then download them for further analysis. The Powrlink Light app offers a direct export option right from the Workout Detail screen, making it easier to analyze your data in tools like Excel or Google Sheets.
- Sensor Connectivity: The Powrlink Light app can connect to two Powrlink Light Sensors simultaneously, saving both resistance curves with all values for detailed comparisons, such as unilateral movements or athlete competitions. The Powrlink (Legacy) app supports only one sensor at a time.
